Hraparak: Armenian citizens to make up 10% of EEC administration
‘Hraparak’ paper says that Chairman of the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan expressed discontent over the fact that although Collegium has 1,100 employees, only six jobs are envisaged for citizens of Armenia that has equal rights in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). According to the paper, a decision will soon take effect, according to which 5 positions of department directors, 11 positions of deputy directors of departments will be allocated to Armenian citizens. About 20 citizens of Armenia will be appointed to other positions. Armenian citizens are expected to make up about 10% of the EEC administration.
Iravunk: Khosrov Harutyunyan to head parliamentary ethics committee
‘Iravunk’ paper says that Armenian MP Khosrov Harutyunyan will head the ethics committee of the parliament.The committee will hold a sitting in February 11 to discuss conduct of MP Shushan Petrosyan and some other deputies accused of multiple voting. K. Harutyunyan will give a report on Shushan Petrosyan’s issue.
Zhamanak: Ara Abrahamyan gives up on the idea of creating a political party in Armenia
‘Zhamanak’ paper learned that President of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan gave up on the idea of creating a political party in Armenia. “Now former FM of Armenia Vartan Oskanyan has committed himself to that role. He already announced his intention to set up a party,” the paper says.
