EAEU does not hold talks over Azerbaijan’s membership because ‘they did not apply’
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) does not conduct any talks with Azerbaijan regarding the latter’s accession to EAEU, Tatyana Valovaya – member of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Collegium on Main Areas of Integration and Macroeconomics – said at a meeting with reporters today.
“We are not holding talks with Azerbaijan because Azerbaijan did not contact us regarding that issue,” she stressed.
Valovaya at the same time noted that EAEU member states are interested in expanding their commercial ties with third countries.
