Not to Ask, Rather Impose Sanctions: Head of the National Union of Employers
“Approximately 8 thousands of small and medium enterprises are almost left out of the economy. 10 per cent of active economic entities is left out of the economy, thereby we can conclude that every year we are losing about 300 million USD,” noticed the Head of the National Union of Employers Gagik Makaryan during the meeting with the reporters.
As for the unemployment, Makaryan mentioned that its rate has reduced negligibly so far, “Our recent meeting with the international organizations and ambassadors made us conclude that there still remains the complaint concerning the reforms done in Armenia which seems to be deceptive and written only for staying on the paper, rather than serving for fundamental objectives”.
Turning to the issue with the energy source, Makaryan expressed his hope saying that we will witness improvements connected with the electricity in the near future, “ENA and its new owner is implementing quick rehabilitation projects, and I believe that in the course of time we will have some reductions in the price”.
As for the price of gas, the Head of the National Union of Employers said, “We should refrain from asking the Russian side instead we should draw their attention to the non-productive activities and their corrupt nature in Armenia. Not to ask, rather impose sanctions.”
The report on the prices of oil and gasoline published by the SCPEC was quite incomprehensible for Makaryan, as he brings forward the following argument, “Who checks the quality of the oil, so as to be able to say that there is only 7-8 per cent of oil in it”.
