“Today the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia is increasing its capacity day by day,” during the solemn meeting on launching a new educational stage for the Armenian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Brigade said the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan.

He also mentioned that the Armenian army has gone through a glorious path as a result being formed during the war imposed on the people. It was able to celebrate victories on various battlefields simultaneously taking up the responsibility of training the soldiers. It has done a great job in enhancing the army’s reputation. The Minister also said that he would shape his activities based on the achievements obtained in the past years, as well as on the basis of strengthening the army’s position in 2016.

According to the Minister, the year of 2016 has been announced to be a year of training the command staff, “We can join the ranks of leading armies of the world due to the commander’s knowledge, the wise management, the implementation of the concept of the task, the ability to find solutions to a greater problems with a little force and due to exercising a wise defence. Today our soldiers are behaving themselves like true heroes at the front line so as to remind us of those days of the Artsakh war”. Now we are aiming at making the commander “the person of the year”. This year is announced to be the year of training the command staff under the slogan of “Trained Commander, Skilful Army, Safe Homeland”.
