An expert in Turkish Studies Levon Hovsepyan doesn’t exclude the possibility that the cause of the explosion in Ankara is a job of Turkish special services. Talking to panorama.am Hovsepyan expressed his opinion on the possible causes and results of the explosion in Ankara.

“The policy run by the Turkish government has resulted in such a complicated and dangerous situation. The explosion in Ankara is a counter reply to such a policy,” he said.

Analyzing all the announcements that are being voiced by the Turkish government, Hovsepyan noticed that Davutoğlu made a statement that the explosion was organized by the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party and Kurdish People’s Defence Forces, which were being bombed in Syria lately.

“The authorities immediately directed the arrows against those forces, but the Chairman of Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party in his turn announced that they have nothing to do with the explosion. In this case quite interesting things happen. It seems that the explosion could have been organized by special services of Turkey,” the expert said.

According to him, the last events show that Turkey is involved in some preparations and the explosion in Ankara can be viewed from this perspectives. 

“For instance, a couple of days ago Turkey started to intensively bomb the Kurds living in Syria in case there was an acute dispute with the USA over the issue. Turkey started to blackmail the USA. Lately, special services of Turkey announced that the militias of Kurdish Democratic Union Party have entered Turkey and doesn’t exclude the possibility of terrorist attacks in Turkey, afterwards the explosion happened,” he mentioned.

It allows us to think that Turkey is involved in some preparations over Syrian issue and behind the explosion in Ankara may stand special services of Turkey.

In reply to the question on what could the explosion in Ankara serve to, the expert answered that it will enable Turkey to justify to the international community and the USA its implementation of military actions in Syria to neutralize the threats.

“Thus, the explosion was a pretext for implementing some military actions in Syria. We are quite familiar with Turkish special services’ experience in finding appropriate pretexts,” said the interviewee of panorama.am adding the situation is quite dangerous.

According to him, Turkey is waiting for the joint political decision of Russia and the USA over Syria. In case nothing happens, then Turkey will seriously implement military actions in Syria.
