Assad sets Parliamentary Election Day in Syria
According to a statement issued by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad the Parliamentary Elections in Syria will be held on April 23, reports RiaNovosti citing Syrian state SANA news agency.
The upcoming elections will be the second since the armed conflict in Syria erupted in 2011. The latest Parliamentary Elections were held in Syria in May, 2012, when 51% of the citizens eligible to vote participated in the elections.
