Zhoghovurd: Dashanktsutyun would fail without a coalition with RPA
Zhoghovurd daily writes that election results of The Armenian Revolutionary Federation – Dashanktsutyun (ARF-D) for the past three nationwide elections show that if ARF-D didn’t form a coalition with the Republican Party of Armenia, it would probably end in a total fiasco in the 2017 Parliamentary elections.
The daily reminds that in the 2012 Parliamentary election Dashanktsutyun barely passed the 5 percent vote threshold for being represented in the National Assembly. The party didn’t participated at the 2013 Presidential election although considered itself an opposition force.
Thus, according to the paper, without a coalition with Republican Party ARFD would fail in the upcoming parliamentary elections which would result in an inevitable change of the leadership within ARF-D. The aim of RPA- ARFD coalition is to save the ARFD current leadership and keep their influence over their own party, the daily concludes.
