Housewarming in Aygepar village
The Press Service of the VivaCell-MTS company informs that owing to the housing project financed by VivaCell-MTS the housing problem of 11 families has been solved in 3 border villages of Tavoush region; renovation works and construction of half-built houses have been completed. VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian and Fuller Center for Housing Armenia President Ashot Yeghiazaryan visited Aygepar village.
The Press Service reminds that months ago the heads of the partnering organizations visited the Grigoryans to see their new house, purchased on the eve of the visit, which still needed renovation. Six years the young family lived with the husband's, Hayrapet's parents then in a rented apartment. The absence of their own home did not let the family to even think of having a second child.
''For those living far from the border it is often surprising why we still live here, where the danger of shootings exists every second. This is our home, our land. Today when we have our own home with decent conditions, we are even stronger connected to our village. Thank you! '' said the family father, Hayrapet.
“Every time we need to reevaluate the housing program I become more convinced that the mission we carry out along with our partner organization is equally important and successful. The housing problem has been solved, our job is done, but the real success is still ahead: the family will continue living here, and the housing problem will no longer keep them from having more children. Both of these objectives are strategically important for our nation,” said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
''We started implementing the housing project in the border communities of Tavoush region in 2014, as a result of which 16 families have completed the construction of their half-built houses or did renovation; Today that number is already 27. For these families improved housing conditions are not only of household importance but also of strategic. I am glad we are able to be next to the families living on the border,'' said Fuller Center for Housing Armenia President Ashot Yeghiazaryan
The Press Service of the VivaCell-MTS company also notes that since 2007, VivaCell-MTS has contributed AMD 228.3 million for the basic reconstruction or renovation of houses thus improving the life quality of 480 people with social needs in 10 regions of the country, including 31 villages, of which 10 are borderland villages.
