Talysh Poet: My people not living rather surviving in Azerbaijan
“I feel on my own skin all the hardships my people have. They do not live rather survive in Azerbaijan - even in the 21st century,” Zabil Madoj, Talysh poet, anchor at the Talysh National Broadcaster said at a round table titled “Native peoples of the Republic of Azerbaijan: reality and prospects.” The event was held in Yerevan.
Zabig Madozh said that Talysh men can not struggle for their families, wives, and children. “What else could be worse for a man? In reality the Talysh people are unable to preserve their culture.”
Madozh expressed gratitude to Armenia for organizing such a discussion.
Note, that the event was organized by the Institute of Native Peoples of Caucasus-Caspian Region and Modus Vivendi Centre in Yerevan.
