“Zhoghovurd” newspaper reads: “Inter Lotto LLC, which owns the majority of the lotteries operating in the Armenian market is due to launch another lottery. The long history of turning Armenians into gamesters has a notable side; numerous companies involved in the lottery business has been closed down over the time, which is not true about Inter Lotto LLC, as it continues expanding its business. Political circles explain the phenomena by the fact that the business is linked to the newly appointed Minister of Education Levon Mkrtchyan’s family.”The newspaper reached Mkrtchyan’s spokesperson to check whether Minister’s family is related to the mentioned business. Spokeswoman Lusine Margaryan dismissed the claims. “Minister of Education and Science has no link to the mentioned company and the business. As to Vahagn Mkrtchyan, Minister’s brother, he is known to be a well-known businessman.” The newspaper recalls previous reports that “Armenia” Wine company is also believed to belong to the minister’s family.

The colors of the ballot papers shall be divided among the political parties by drawing of lots as prescribed by the Central Electoral Commission. What steps will the parties take if they receive blue papers, the daily asks.? The daily has tried to get comments from party representatives. MP Sukias Avetisyan from the Republican Party has assured that the mentioned color will be excluded from the list. Vanik Elizbaryan, Spokesperson of Prosperous Armenia Party, informed that during initial discussions held with Hrayr Tovmasyan and Vardan Poghosyan, a decision was made not to print blue ballot paper to exclude a black PR.
