Zaruhi Postanjyan: Heritage party definitely to run for local elections
Heritage party member Zaruhi Postanjyan announced that the party will definitely run for the upcoming elections of local self-government bodies in Gyumri and Vanadzor. “No names are available yet, however, we will definitely run for those elections,” Postanjyan told the reporters, adding the issue is currently under discussion.
“Everyone will soon know what format the party will choose to go to elections. We attach importance to those elections, since, as a matter of fact, those (elections) are the doorstep for the future, thus our participation should be full,” the parliamentarian said.
On another note, Postanjyan was critical of the new draft Electoral Code, noting they neither “perceive” nor “accept” the document. “We have own proposals which have being voiced up for numerous times, for over ten years and received no feedback. We have our firm position about the legislation,” Postanjyan concluded.
