His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of the International Women’s day.

“We grant our patriarchal blessing and warm wishes from Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to our women on the occasion of March 8,” the message says.

“Armenian women highlighted their role throughout the centuries-old history of struggle for the life progress of our people, preserving its spiritual values, developing the education and culture as well as defending the Homeland, through confronting all the difficulties and hardships; they have served a continuous inspiration and strength for the sons of our people through their God-loving and nation-loving deeds,” the statement says and adds:

“Dear women

We pay our appreciation that today as ever with warmth and love you bring your efforts and dedication to every sphere of state and public life of our country to keep the Armenian life alive, the Armenian family resistant, prosperous and our Homeland cherishing.

We pray at Holy altar of Descent that our Heavenly Father blesses you to stay full of joy and happiness, beautiful as always, blessed with virtues and benevolence.

We pray that our Heavenly Father keeps all the women, gifts them sunny years full of happiness and heavenly goods.

Let’s the Lord’s grace, love and peace be with all of you today and for all eternity,” reads the message.
