No political context found in the Ukraine song for Eurovision
Jamala will represent Ukraine with her song "1944" in Stockholm in the 61st Eurovision 2016 contest, reports Gazerta.ru. The song is about the deportation of Crimean Tatars.
According to European Broadcasting Union, neither the title of the song not the lyrics contain any political statements violating the rules of the contest.
Eurovision 2016 will take place on May 10, 12 and 14 in Stockholm, Sweden. Representatives from 43 countries will participate at the 61st Eurovision contest. “Come Together” is this year’s slogan of the contest.
Note that, this year Iveta Mukuchyan will represent Armenia with her song “Love Wave”.
