On the night of March 8 – March 9 Azerbaijani forces fired over 850 shots using weapons of different calibers on the Line of Contact between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan, Press Service of the NKR Defense Army reports.

The Defense Army’s frontline units control the situation on the frontline and confidently perform their combat duties, according to the information.

“Rejecting the confidence building measures proposed by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, the Azerbaijani side not only continues to deliberately strain the situation on the frontline, but also spreads disinformation that the Armenian forces had allegedly targeted civilian population, seeing even a threat in “sheep herd”,” the report says.

NKR Defense Ministry states it respects the Azerbaijani civilian population which has to carry the burden of the Aliyev regime. “As to the sheep herd, it is not the first time, when the adversary compares its soldiers with sheep herd,  as corresponding records prove in  the internet,” the statement says.
