Bread and Bakery products drop in price: National Statistical Service
In February 2016 bread and bakery products have dropped in price by 5.3% as compared with February 2015 data and by 2.6% in January of this year The National Statistical Service (NSS) informs that as compared with January 2016 data, in February 2016 the prices for the bread of I and High sort has dropped by 4.4% and 3.8% correspondingly. The flour of First and High sort has dropped in price by 2.8% and 2.0% correspondingly, pasta products - by 2.3%, groasts - by 2.3%, lavash - by1.9%, etc.
The monitoring in the whole republic has revealed that in all cities bakery prices have dropped in February 2016 by 5.7-0.5% as compared with January data of this year with the highest drop recorded in Ashtarak. In Yerevan the average price for bakery products dropped by 2.2%.
According to the NSS data, the price for fishery has dropped by12.2% as compared with February 2015 and 1.0% with January data of this year.
In February 2016 the price for pork has decreased by 2.9%, beef and poultry - by 0.6%, while lamb has increased in price by 2.6%.
The average price for sugar in the republic has dropped in price in February 2016 by 10.0% as compared with February 2015 data and increased in price by 1.2% as compared with January data of this year.
In February 2016 alcohol-free beverages has increased in price by 0.1%, eggs - by 0.3%, coffee, tea and cacao - by about 0.6% and alcohol beverages and tobacco prices remain the same level as in January of this year.
