Anna Melikyan’s movie “About Love” nominated for main prize of “Nika”
Six Russian films will compete in the main category “Best Motion Picture” at the oldest national movie awards “Nika” including Anna Melikyan’s “About Love”, Dmitry Meshiev’s “Battalion”, Sergey Mokritskiy’s “Battle for Sevastopol”, Stanislav Govorukhin’s “The End of a Great Era”, Alexander Mindadze’s “Dear Hans, Dear Peter”, Vassiliy Sigarev’s “OZ”, reports TASS.
As the agency reports, this year the competition features 122 pictures, more than in 2015. The expert Council comprises of 592 people.
As reports kinopoisk.ru, for Best Director filmmakers of “Under the Electric Clouds”, “The End of a Great Era”, “OZ” and “About Love” are nominated.
The award will also feature nominations in “Best Actor”, “Best Actress”, “Best Operator”, “Best Animated Film”, “Best Author” etc. “Best CIS and Baltic Countries Film” nomination will feature movies from Estonia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine and Lithuania.
The award ceremony will take place on April 1.
Anna Melikyan’s “About Love” in January received another award at another Russian “Golden Eagle” for “Best Movie”. Melikyan’s movie features modern Russian stars Renata Litvinova, Yevgeny Tsyganov, Yuliya Snigir, Ravshana Kurkova, Masha Shalaeva, Alexander Bortiv, etc.
