Major earthquake predictions for California
Geologists predicted a major earthquake in the southern part of California that can resemble the Wrightwood earthquake of 1812. The full research was published in the “Scientific Advances” journal.
The 1812 Wrightwood earthquake occurred on December 8 in Southern California. The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.9 and a maximum perceived intensity of VIII (Severe) on the Mercalli intensity scale.
According to the research, in case of an earthquake the possible consequences will be much severe than it was predicted earlier.
