Edward Topchyan: Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra needs substitute musicians and funds
Honored conductor Edward Topchyan has been the head of Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra (ANPO) for over 10 years. During these years his aim was to improve the orchestra, said Topchyan during a press conference.
“My only aspiration is to reach the level of the world’s best orchestras. The orchestra is constantly improving. I wish it would never stop,” he said adding that they need substitute musicians and funds.
“I’m not a conflict person, rather a man of principle. Maybe that leads to conflict. I try to consider everyone’s opinion. My professional status doesn’t give me the right to disrespect anyone,” said Topchyan.
He also mentioned that he is a devoted servant of music.
