PSRC to assess the erroneous time setup of electricity meters
Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) held a discussion about the recorded erroneous timing data of the household electricity meters with the leadership of “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC, PSRC Chairman Robert Nazaryan informed at a parliament hearing on March 14.
According to him, during the discussion an instruction was given to thoughtfully investigate and give corresponding assessment to the recorded violations, take up measures to eliminate those in the future.
“An administrative case was established to investigate the time setup of the electricity meters, and the commission will issue its assessment within the set period of time,” Nazaryan said.
Aside from that, “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC was obliged to carry out full and complete equipment verifications to check the operation of the commercial household meters against the rules and requirements of the power supply and consumption.
“I would remind that according to the set rules the consumers can additionally seal their commercial meters through glued paper and signed seal. If the meter is adjusted in a separate box, the box itself can be sealed,” Chairman of the commission said.
