Iranians consider opportunities to cooperate with Ararat province
There is a great potential for cooperation between Iran and Armenian provinces, Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Davit Lokyan told Gilan Governer Mohammad-Ali Najafi during the meeting with delegation in Yerevan.
As the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry reports, Iran Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Mr. Seyyed Kazem Sajjad met with Governor of Ararat province Rubik Abrahamyan.
Minister Lokyan hopes that mutually beneficial cooperation will develop between Gilan and Ararat provinces.
Representing the economic potential of the province Mohammad-Ali Najafi expressed his belief that Gilan can cooperate with Ararat province in the fields of agriculture, fish farming and tourism.
According to Najafi the delegation will visit Ararat province and find out the opportunities for cooperation.
Gilan Governer mentioned that during Nowruz Day many Iranians visit Armenia, and he asked the Minister to support them in the creation of appropriate conditions for tourism. Minister Davit Lokyan said that instructions concerning the matter had already been given to governors of Syunik, Vayots Dzor and Ararat provinces.
