Justice minister and the parliamentarian surprised at text messages encouraging emigration
PM Naira Zohrabyan received a short text message on her phone from xopan.am offering different jobs in Russia.
“It was a surprise for me as no state office should be interested in spreading such messages. Where is it regulated? Is it a public policy or negligence that must be resolved,” asked Zohrabyan.
Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhanisyan said that she also received such message and was rather surprised. She assured that no state office is engaged in the spreading of that message. Referring the legal side of the matter, Hovhannisyan said that anyone and any organization has the right to send such messages.
Yet she also noticed the fact that sending such messages is violation of the law on “Personal data security”.
“I promise to make a relevant research on this very matter and provide contact information,” the Minister said.
