Parliament unanimously adopted the Law on removing VAT for car import
Armenia's National Assembly adopted unanimously the legislative amendments in the RA Law “On value added tax” (VAT) today that set the removal of the VAT levied from imported cars from the EEU countries. No against votes and abstentions were registered during the voting.
According to the report, PMs adopted the legislative package of an amendment and supplement to the RA Law “On value added tax” and amendments and supplements to the RA Law “On value added tax” presented by several PMs and the Government respectively. The Law establishes the removal of the 20% of VAT levied from the imported cars for physical entities.
It was mentioned during the discussion that VAT exact from the imported cars is illegal as any state party to the EEU agreement already levies the tax.
