Sergo Karapetyan: About 45 new cooperatives to be formed in 2016
Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan met with the head of the Unit at Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of Eastern Partnership Policy Mathieu Bousquet, reports the press service of Ministry of Agriculture.
During the meeting, they discussed Eastern Partnership agriculture and rural development budget support programs, further prospects for agricultural cooperation, etc.
Sergo Karapetyan said that in 2015 a law was adopted on “Agricultural Cooperatives”, department on agricultural cooperatives support was created and about 50 training courses were organized all through the provinces. With the support of the EU about 45 new cooperatives will be created this year.
