Sergey Shahverdyan: Artsakh equally takes care of preservation of monuments irrespective of their ethnic identity
The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic equally takes care of preservation of monuments irrespective of their ethnic identity, said Artsakh Deputy Minister of Economy Sergey Shahverdyan during a press conference.
According to him, the best proof is the Ashaghi Govhar Agha Mosque, partially restored by Artsakh government. Others including Agdam Mosque are in good condition and open for tourists.
“Tourists come to Artsakh from Muslim countries as well and they can see that, unlike Azerbaijan, in Nagorno-Karabakh we preserve the cultural heritage of other religions. Besides being religious and cultural heritage, they are also important for tourism development in Nagorno-Karabakh,” Shahverdyan said.
