St. Mesrop Church in Syrian Homs to be restored
The restorations of St. Mersrop Church in Homs and National Sahakyan College will commence this summer, Primate of the Diocese of Damascus Bishop Armash Nalbandian said during a meeting with Armenian families in Homs.
He stressed the importance of restoring the church and the school, reports Arevelk.am.
Walking through the church, damaged during shelling, they followed the restoration work, discussed issues concerning the full restoration of the church and the school.
Since November 2011, St. Mesrop Church and National Sahakyan College has been under the control of the terrorists. They have made the church and the school buildings their centres; turned the basement hall into a hospital, the teachers’ room into a mosque, the church into a dormitory. They have desecrated the holy altar.
