State Employment Agency: The state will support the residents of rural areas through jobs
Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs implements 2 projects in 2016 aimed at raising employment among residents of the rural areas through supporting them to find temporary jobs as well as to provide means for developing livestock sector, the head of State Employment Agency (SEA) Artak Mangasaryan told reporters.
30 programs are planned to be realized in 9 provinces with the scope of the projects
“The project goal is aimed at ensuring sustainable employment for job seeking and unemployed people as well as support the communities,” Mangasaryan said.
The program will give high priority to the border communities of Armenia and may include job seekers who are registered at local SEA centers and have the relevant status. The priority will be based on a number of criteria – people who are not competitive in the labor market, families which receive state allowances, have two or more children, disabled persons, migrants among them.
Artak Mangasaryan noted that the program will last for three months and the residents involved in it are expected to be occupied with public service, reconstruction, furnishing works.
The state will pay 5 thousand AMD daily income tax included, and the amount allocated for the program is 45 million AMD.
The next project is a pilot one, which will comprise of 50 programs with a total budget of 50 million AMD. Residents of the rural areas will be paid in the amount of 50 minimal salaries monthly for the period of one year to develop livestock farming. The state will provide additional funds for obtaining necessary means for developing the sector.
