Import of about 20 tons of frozen chicken meat banned
Food Security State Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia banned the import of 19 800 kilograms of frozen chicken meat. According to State Social Security Service (SSSS), it didn’t meet the established food security criteria.
At the border control, the SSSS sent the frozen chicken meat imported from Ukrainian “Meat Import” LLC to laboratory for examination.
The results showed that the product doesn’t correspond to the listeria criteria of Customs Union (Eurasian Economic Union) on Food Security technical regulations, therefore it can’t be used.
Considering the above said, the import to Armenia was banned and the company was instructed to re-develop, destroy or re-export the product.
