Late Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan commemorated in Yerevan
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan accompanied with the highest leadership of Armenia visited Komitas Pantheon today and paid a tribute to memory of the RA former Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan on the occasion of the latter’s death anniversary. Those present laid flowers at Andranik Margaryan’s tomb.
Armenian National Assembly Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov highlighted Margaryan’s role not only in the political and public sphere but also his moral image.
“He always returned a kindness and never repaid evil for evil,” Sharmazanov said in an interview with reporters.
Andranik Margaryan (12 June 1951 – 25 March 2007) served as the Prime Minister of Armenia from 12 May 2000, when the President appointed him, until his death on 25 March 2007. He was a member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
