New building of Yerevan No. 1 nursing home
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan attended the opening event of the new building of Yerevan’s No. 1 nursing home. It was built with the financial support of State of Kuwait. Minister of Justice, Religious Estates and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait Yaqoub Al-Sanea, Minister of Justice of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Armenia Artem Asatryan and representatives of the diplomatic corps also attended the opening.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Government, the Prime Minister walked through the building, got acquainted with the final work and the modern conditions created for the elderly. The building is fully equipped; facilities for social services, medical care will be soon established. It will be possible to care after 72 patient simultaneously.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the support of Kuwait and said that such projects will contribute to strengthening the relationship between the countries.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the economic cooperation between Armenia and Kuwait saying that it is necessary to take steps towards strengthening business ties and to implement flights from Yerevan to El-Kuwait, which will contribute to the realization of joint projects in the tourism sector.
The Minister of Justice, Religious Estates and Islamic Issues of Kuwait stated that they give great importance to expanding ties with Armenia and are ready to discuss a number of issues concerning implementation of investment programmes.
