Georgian Foreign Minister: We value the development of the current relations
Despite different integration platforms chosen by Armenia and Georgia, bilateral relation of the two states are actively developing, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze stated today during the joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
Minister Janelidze noted he had discussed with Armenian FM the ways to employ the mentioned processes to the benefit of the Armenian-Georgian bilateral cooperation and joint programs.
“We value the development of the current relations. We should proceed with the work through intergovernmental cooperation groups on economic issues, which turned to be a successful format to discuss trade and economic topics. We should also encourage the development of the business sector with a view to strengthen the economic cooperation between the two states,” Minister Janelidze said.
Georgian minister next outlined the traditionally friendly relations between Armenian, Georgian people.
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan stressed on his part that no problems exist in Armenian-Georgian relations “No problems rather matters exist in Armenian-Georgian relations which are being solved through mutual efforts,” Nalbandyan said.
To remind, Georgian Minister Mikheil Janelidze is on an official visit to Armenia at the invitation of Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
The joint press conference of the minister was followed by private negotiations between the ministers.
Earlier, Minister Mikheil Janelidze visited Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan and paid tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
