Artavazd Theatre Award, 2016
Artavazd annual Theatre Award, 2016 will take place at Hakob Paronyan Musical Comedy Theatre on March 26, reports Ministry of Culture of Armenia press service.
Dramatic Theatres of Yerevan and Armenian provinces, as well as Tbilisi P. Adamyan and Shushi L. Khandamiryan theatres will participate in the ceremony.
Artavazd Award, 2016 is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Theatre Workers Union of Armenia. The union was found in 1940, by People’s Artist of the USSR Gurgen Janibekyan. It is also expected, that theatre critic Haykaz Yeranosyan’s book on the history of the union will be published on the anniversary.
The award ceremony is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and the initiative of Theatre Workers Union of Armenia.
