Details of ceasefire violation: Azeri bullet exploded right in the house of Berkaber resident
Berkaber border village mayor Arthur Madatyan told Panorama.am that the bullet fired by the Azerbaijani forces hit one of the houses of Berkaber village in the Tavush provice of Armenia and exploded right in the house. “Not the house itself but the bullet exploded in the house - in the sitting room. People were at home, and thank God, no one suffered. Azeris also fired and shot dead the neighbor’s cow,” the mayor said.
According to the report, Norik Alikhanyan, 64, received gunfire on his neck and shoulder while being in his yard, and was then hospitalized to Erebuni Medical Center.
Shushan Hunanyan, press secretary of the Medical Center told Panorama.am the wounded civilian is currently in the intensive care unit.
“The condition is stable, he is in consciousness, breathes on his own and will be moved to the ward,” Hunanyan told in the phone comment.
Earlier, Armenian Defense Ministry reported that Azerbaijani side fired numerous shots using weapons of different calibers, used 60mm and 82mm mortars as well as TR-107 artillery rockets along the Line of Contact.
NKR Defense Army press service later reported Azerbaijani armed forces continued applying 60mm and 82mm mortars, AECP-17 and RSL-7 grenades northeast of the Line of Contact. A resident of Taghavard village, Yervand Pirumyan, 27, engaged in agricultural activities, was wounded on March 26 by the Azerbaijani fire. Details are being investigated.
