Harutyun Merdinyan – Gymnastics World Cup winner
Armenia gymnastics team member Harutyun Merdinyan is the winner of the 9th Artistic Gymnastics World Cup underway in Doha, Qatar, reports the National Olympics Committee of Armenia.
Merdinyan came first scoring 15, 675 points in the pommel horse event. The second and the third places were taken by Croatia’s Robert Seligman and Azerbaijan’s Oleg Stepko, respectively.
In the rings event Armenia’s Vahagn Davtyan came second and Artur Tovmasyan – third.
Artur Davtyan will launch in the competition on March 26.
