Psychologist: Large families belong to lower social class
Although, there is a law on assistance to large families and state incentives for mothers with many children in Armenia, yet large families aren’t provided with necessary conditions, said lawyer Liana Balyan during a press conference.
According to her, large families receive little benefits, not enough to maintain even the minimum conditions, therefore large families belong to the lower class.
The lawyer said that a new law on protection of rights of mothers with many children, needs to be adopted, according to which, a number of privileges will be given to large families.
According to Liana Balyan, if the state encourages large families, the demographic situation in Armenia will be improved.
Psychologist Anna Badalyan, who was also present during the press conference, said that there are 17 children in the largest families in Armenia.
“From psychological point of view, children in large families are active, can react quickly, besides those children have quite interesting personalities,” said the psychologist.
