Alexander Aroutyunian woodwind-piano quartet concert in Beirut
Alexander Aroutyunian Woodwind-piano quartet, an ensemble of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia, had a concert on March 12 in the concert hall “G and H. Armenyan” of “Levon Shant” cultural centre under the patronage of the National Regional Committee of Lebanon, reports State Youth Orchestra public relations service.
The members of the quartet are Lilit Zakaryan (piano), Gevorg Avetisyan (flute), Davit Gyulamiryan (clarinet) and Nikolay Poghosyan (bassoon).
According to the source, the head of the International Festival “Al Bustan” also attended the concert. State Youth Orchestra of Armenia, its artistic director and principal conductor Sergey Smbatyan visited Beirut upon the invitation of the festival.
The quartet presented musical pieces by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Khachaturian, Arutyunian and many others.
The Woodwind-piano quartet was formed in remembrance of 95-th anniversary of outstanding composer Alexander Aroutyunian.
