The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation released updated data saying that 81 passengers were on board 8 Americans, 4 Britons, 4 Dutch, 2 Belgians, 1 Italian and 30 Egyptians among them.
The jet was taken over after a passenger said he was wearing an explosives belt. Negotiations at Larnaca airport had resulted in the release of all those on board, apart from the crew and four foreign passengers.
