Armenian military unit to take part in multinational drills
Armenian Armed Forces 32-member medical subdivision is slated to take part in “Saber Junction 2016” multinational drills to be held in US Army Base located in Hohenfels, Germany. The military exercises will last from March 31 until April 23, Armenian Defense Ministry reports in a released statement.
The drills will include nearly 5,000 participants from 18 states. Armenian medical unit will provide Role II medical aid of II category as envisaged by NATO standards. American EMEDS mobile field hospital of the RA Armed Forces will be deployed. The hospital and the personnel arrived in Germany and are actively engaged with the preliminary works of the upcoming exercises.
According to the source, Armenia’s participation in the military exercise is realized within a commitment of providing Role II medical hospitals to international missions taken at the UN Summit on Peacekeeping Operations.
