From Shanghai to Yerevan with love
A k-pop style concert took place in Shanghai with one of South Korea’s famous bands. EXO concert was announced to last three hours with 10 songs. The tickets cost 10.000 Chinese yuans ($ 1500). Yet the expectations of the fans weren’t met. Not all of the band members appeared on the stage. They played 5 songs and the concert lasted five hours. Angry fans were calling the band to return to the stage.
At the end, the host said that they too were victims, because they hadn’t signed a contract with producer agency, SM Entertainment. They had an agreement with a third party. Although they just advertised the concert, they announced that the details about returning the money would follow later.
This goes to show that the host bears responsibility just by advertising.
Let’s return from ''old-fashioned'' Asia to ''civilized'' Armenia; Ramazzotti concert tickets are sold, the concert is cancelled, yet the intermediary organizations says that according to the contract they hold no responsibility.
By advertising the concert and selling the tickets, they’ve entered a new legal status with the customer becoming another party of the contract. Thus, regardless of what they’re going to do to compensate their loss, they must first and foremost cover the expenses of the customers.
This is logical, so it should be mentioned in the law.
By the way, the tickets sold cost from 8 to 150 thousand AMD.
