Vardanyan brothers arrested in Tanzania
Jumbo zoo owner, Vardanyan brothers, who wanted to fly to Armenia on a plane transporting 62 monkeys, were arrested in Tanzania, said Zoo Fauna Art director, Arthur Khachatryan who was to receive the monkeys.
“The monkeys that our company bought in September had to be transported to Armenia. The airline refused to transport them for unknown reasons,” said Khachatryan stating that their company had a permit.
According to him, Vardanyan brothers found themselves in an awkward situation, which they had nothing to do with.
Khachatryan informed that legal proceedings on the case have already started.
