Government decides to merge Tamanyan and National Architecture Museum-Institutes
During government session on March 31, it was decided to reorganize SNCOs Alexander Tamanyan Research Museum-Institute and the National Museum-Institute of Architecture through merging.
Minister of Urban Development of Armenia, Narek Sargsyan noted that in accordance with their regulations, both organizations pursue the same goal, namely, to collect, preserve, study, replenish and to subject to scientific development the archive and museum values related to Armenian and foreign architecture history, economy and practice.
Business activities carried out by both organizations also match, particularly, organization of fee-based scientific events, provision of fee-based publishing, commercial services based on the fund archives and the library, and exhibition decoration.
“Thus, for efficient implementation of work, concentration of forces and effective realization of the main problems, it is necessary to reorganize the organizations through merging,” the Minister said.
