The National Statistical Service of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic summed up current-operative data of the Artsakh 2015 Population Census, reads the statement released by the statistical service.

According to the information, summarized data were received from the number of the registered population during the census as enumerated in the relevant areas. The territory of the republic was divided into 501 enumeration stations, 90 supervisory and 10 census areas. Aside from that, schematic layouts were received from Stepanakert city and seven provincial divisions.

The received data were supplemented by data of those registered at the Defense Army, MFA, NKR Police and National Security Service affiliated to Artsakh Government. 

The statements says that the operative amount of Artsakh 2015 Population Census is 150 932 people, including persons enumerated therein as permanently resident and present at the time of Census and temporarily present (at the time of Census) as well as temporarily absent population that includes the number of those who were usual residents of the given community.

The operative data were received through subtracting the absent persons’ number from the enumerated number of the population as of December 1, 00:00.

The de facto population preliminary operative number is 146 260.

The number of permanent population will be available after codification, processing and outputting of all the questionnaires, which is expected to finalize in November 2016.
