Traffic Police to appeal against Administrative Court decision about 40 km/h speed limit
Traffic Police is going to appeal against the Administrative Court decision to the Court of Appeal, if need be to the Court of Cassation as well, said the Head of Legal Department of the Traffic Police, Arman Chilingaryan.
“It is strange to us that the decision without entering into force raised such a fuss in media. Previously, such hearings always ended in favour of the Traffic Police,” said Chilingaryan.
Earlier Panorama.am addressed lawyer Ruzanna Azroyan’s case at Administrative Court.
She exceeded the speed limit on Davtashen-Yeghvard highway by driving at 57 km/h, while the speed limit mark allows 40 km/h. She didn’t pay the fine appointed by the Traffic Police. Moreover, she disputed the administrative act on violation and won.
The lawyer filed a lawsuit to the Administrative Court seeking to define the 40 km/h speed limit unlawful and to eliminate the fine.
