President Sargsyan who is on a working visit to the United States, participated at the Nuclear Security Summit in Walter E. Washington Convention Center and delivered a speech there.

“Armenia is actively engaged in the fight against terrorist and initiatives of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, implementing necessary measures envisaged by UN SC 1540 resolution and through adopting a relevant national action plan. This consistent approach by us will be continuous and unchangeable which is aimed at promoting the establishment of an effective architecture for nuclear security.

“I would disregard Azerbaijani and Turkish Presidents’ nonfounded accusations voiced up at this hall, as those are, first and foremost, a demonstration of non-confidence towards IAEA (The International Atomic Energy Agency), if that work style were not characteristic of them in all spheres - non-confidence toward the activities of international community and structures, flagrant misinterpretation of international decisions and approaches. This is to be tconsidered a real danger threatening the region, not the exploitation of the Armenia nuclear power plan,” President Sargsyan stated.
