Armenian, Iranian Defense Ministers held phone conversation
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Dehghan. The statement issued by the Armenian Ministry of Defence says the interlocutors expressed concern over the escalation of the situation along the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
Defense ministers reportedly touched upon the cooperation issues between the two ministries.
Armenian Deputy Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan received on Sunday envoys of diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia. As the press service of the ministry reports, Deputy Minister Tonoyan briefed the situation on the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, presented the current state of affairs after the Azerbaijani large scale offensive and NKR Defense Army’s response actions to suppress and neutralize the adversary.
Deputy Minister Tonoyan highlighted Armenia’s readiness to any development, including direct military assistance to defend Nagorno Karabakh Republic whenever necessary.
Meanwhile, Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly convened a consultation in the parliament, which was attended by all parliamentary factions as well as delegation members represented to international parliamentary structures, press department of the parliament reports.
The main topic of the consultation were the ways of raising the efficiency of the work with international organizations and communicating the true state of affairs on the border.
A decision was adopted to call upon the international community to press Azerbaijani Aliyev regime to refrain from further inhuman actions,
On another information, spokesperson to the President of Artsakh Davit Babayn commented on the situation along the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan. “No change has been rescored so far on the frontline. The adversary tries to destabilize the situation. Our side restraints the adversary,” Babayan told Tert.am
