Parliamentarians of NKR National Assembly initiated an extraordinary session led by Vice-chairman of National Assembly, Vahram Balayan on April 2, reports the press service of NKR NA.

NKR National Assembly made an announcement about the offensive operations of Azerbaijani Armed Forces on April 2. The announcement reads, “The provocative policy of Azerbaijan, after the ceasefire, gradually turns the region into a war zone. Azerbaijan performed unprecedented large-scale attacks on April 2, hitting not only the military objects of Artsakh, but also residential areas, killing and injuring peaceful civilians, including innocent children.

These acts of terrorism are directed not only at the sovereignty of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, but also are a blow against the international security system.

NKR National Assembly, expressing its confidence in the professional activities of the Defense Army, Artsakh citizens and, especially, the moral and psychological readiness of the residents of areas near the border;
- considers that the international community constantly being subjected to the official Baku blackmail, equating the parties through the years with its approach, continues to encourage Azerbaijani aggressive ambitions,
- proves that the negligence of international recognition of Artsakh Republic leads to unruly operations by Azerbaijan. Not suppressing the aggressor will lead to new escalations with unpredictable consequences in the region, the responsibility of which will lie not only with official Baku, but also its supporters”.
