Syrian-Armenian doctor attends injured in Martakert
Young Syrian-Armenian doctor, Garnik Jozikyan has worked at Gandzasar Monastery hospital for three years. With the recent development, he hurried to Martakert from Yerevan to support his colleagues and attend to the injured, reports Arevelk.am.
In his interview with Arevelk.am, Garnik Jozikyan said that at the moment the situation on the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan remains the same. Martakert hospital operates efficiently providing the necessary treatments to the injured. Those in serious conditions have been transferred to Stepanakert.
Jozikyan said that they are in touch with Stepanakert. They carry out excellent organizational work.
“Medication is sufficient, there is all the necessary equipment, there are all the possibilities to attend to the patients, yet it would be better if more professionals were here. Their presence wouldn’t hurt,” said Garnik Jozikyan, adding that he is admired for the spirits of both soldiers and Artsakh people.
“Soldiers are even ready to return to the first line as soon as they recover,” said the doctor.
He then added that there is spiritual and volunteer willingness in Stepanakert too.
