Tensions increase in armed confrontation on Armenian-Azerbaijani state border
Tension increase in armed confrontation was observed in the Northeastern part of Armenian-Azerbaijani state border in Berdavan and Koti villages direction in Tavush province on the night of April 4-5. The Azerbaijani side fired from weapons of different calibres, 60 and 88mm grenades towards Armenian soldiers and the residential areas, reports the information and public relations department of Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
The advanced detachments of the RA Armed Forces suppressed the offensive operations of the adversary. Contract soldier Zori Ashrafyan, 1983, was wounded during the shooting.
RA Armed Forces confidently continue to control the situation on the border.
