“Since yesterday, Azerbaijan has been systematically disseminating about Armenian operations on Nakhijevan front. The Armenian side has already responded to those statements saying that the information isn’t true,” wrote expert Tigran Abrahamyan on his Facebook page.

According to the expert, by disseminating this kind of news, Azerbaijan solves four main problems, “First of all, Azerbaijan creates an impression that Armenia is violating the bilateral agreement to put halt to fire disrespecting the agreement reached with mediators.

Secondly, conceals its provocative operations on different parts of the Line of Contact and Tavush province after the bilateral agreement.

Thirdly, prepares the soil to implement operations in that area too, if necessary, under the pretext of “carrying out retaliatory operations”.

Fourthly, reminds the Armenian side about Nakhijevan direction recording the existence of a third front, which at this point is a backup option”.
