Putin, Nazarbayev discuss Nagorno Karabakh issue over the phone
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev. The two leaders exchanged views on the recent developments around Nagorno Karabakh, Kremlin reports in a released statement.
According to the information President Putin informed Nazarbayev about his phone contacts taken place with presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. With this regard Putin informed about Russia’s mediating efforts and further steps
The presidents discussed the bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as upcoming high-level meetings in the scope of the EEU.
To remind, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan earlier expressed regret over the fact that some of EEU partners refused to come to Yerevan to participate in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
“I don’t know if they helped Azerbaijan with this, but they have definitely tarnished the reputation of our Organization, and it’s a fact,” President Serzh Sargsyan said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev.
