Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to France, Elchin Amirbayov, pulled out of a scheduled live debate with Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) Bureau member (France) Mourad Papazian, which was to take place on the evening of April 7 on France’s France24 television network, The Armenian Weekly reports.

Papazian issued a statement over the Ambassador’s refusal. “Having refused to participate in the debate, the Azerbaijani Ambassador shows that he is afraid. I greatly condemn this cowardly decision, which comes at a time when the Azerbaijani army continues to violate the ceasefire announced on April 5,” he said.

Meanwhile, world famous American TV-host, reality show star, actress, photo model, socialite Kim Kardashian posted a photo of soldiers with an Armenian flag on her Instagram page to express support to the Armenians amid the escalated Karabakh conflict.

“Praying for everyone in Armenia and all around the world! #PrayForPeace,” wrote Kardashian under the photo, which received over 500 thousand likes in a short period. 

In an interview with the Foreign Policy, Elin Suleymanov, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to the US, expressed discontent over the world famous star’s support to the Armenians, who had been subjected to the Azerbaijani armed forces’ sudden attack.
